hii nancy
i finished these book.
{9}
if i get chance to ask a question any character in this story, i would like to ask a question to the teacher mr. stanyer.i ask that why did you do this discusting behavior with your student?
becase as a tescher you do not have any right to act as a gambling with your student. also teacher are not allowed to make money besides the school. this kind of teacher has to leave from school immedtely.thias is the fiction stoy and has made big issu about relationship between teachers and students. it is so unfair with international students who were shy and affraid to telling about truth.
hu was very clver and intellegent but mr.stayner blackmail her that she is not ready for Ib progrram and also, she is afraid of his father because her father want her to be a doctor and when her father know about her grade , may be he nervous.
finally i was happy that she saw the strange to told truth and saved her life from tragedy. she proved herself thay she is very genious. if she did not have any courage about telling trueth,it is never stop and it happened again and again.

1.I'd like to change character's age. Mosy of them are seventeen years old and Bangkok International Academy students. So, their is little bit dull. There is not a big event. Just one time, they lost path when they went a field trip. It is a big event through this book. As a result, this book is too monotonous. If they are university students who have strong adventurous spirit, this story will be much more intense than original story. They are able to enjoy nature of Thailand for vacation and their school life also more funny than high school.

10. Declan Stanyer, Hu's English teacher, has cheated his pupil. He demanded money to his pupil on the pretext of extra lesson. In additon, he wasn't Ohio State Univerity and he has just tourist visa. When I had been in Korea, I watched TV about similiar happening. An American acadeny English teacher who is cheated his scholarship and career. As aresult, a president of academy punished with a fine and the American went back his country. Even though this book is a fiction, there are many similiar cases.

It was good. I wouldn't want to read it in front of class because it's quite heavy material. Although saying that, it might be good to do so - just be warned that the core story is not light-hearted.

5-If I were to put this story into my own life, the situation with Stanyer would change. I would change because his behavior makes angry. If he is a real teacher, he must no do that because teaching is a major that you do with your heart, and you're like a mirror for your student to watch.
However, the teacher with bad behavior will be left school soon.

14- I think the author write this story because he wants to show for everyone sees two sides of education. His idea was put in Mr. Stanyer. Not only two sides, another idea is he wants to everyone listen carefully before decide who's wrong and who's right. In addition, the message is trying to share is don't believe anyone and thinking carefully when you do something for you and for everyone.

1. The most interesting part of the story that when Hu and her friends lost in forest. They played each other and moved from their teacher. In addition, their cell phone was stopped. This situation similar to my own life. I was in the same situation. However, end of the story like Hu and her friend we was secured by my father. It is nice to remember my life when I read the book.

3. hu was a successfull student. But she was not successfull only english class. Her English teacher offered to give private lesson for her, but he wanted to money. Hu's family did not have much money so Hu could not want to her family. She took aunt Wang's ring and she sold it for pay her private lesson. If I could change the setting in this story, I want to change this situation.

It's a good and catchy story. Also pushed me to learn some new words.

I haven't felt so offended by a book in a long time. And there are so many reasons to find this book offensive. I'm also appalled that this book is being taught in my nephew's school. Not because it deals with predation, or hard subjects, but rather because just about every adult acts unethically and there is no actual resolution or redress of the larger issues that are raises.

Where shall i aim my vitriol first? Shall I start with the casual sexual predation, or maybe the awful adults that dismiss, blame and then attack the abused? I could drowned into the stilted, awful dialogue. Or gag to death on the throw away characters, a useless adventure subplot or the deus ex machina resolution?

Not only is the the main character subjected to on-going unethical and abusive situations, but her school leadership and counselor blame and accuse her for being attracted to her abuser and creating the situation. For a book written in 1999, this ham-fisted piece of tripe feels more like it came out of 1945. The only way that the situation is resolved is that a throw-away character pops into existence in the third act and

Also, has George Kershaw ever actually listened to a human person speak? Take this stilted, weird sentence: "It's only six weeks until the exams for the IB, the International Baccalaureate programme." Is it exposition? Is it dialogue? It's both, and scans like something a second grader would write. That a school would use this in an EAL literature class is even harder to swallow.

Uuuug. Don't read this garbage. It is bad for you.
